Upper Limb

The i-limb™ Hand
From Touch Bionics, the i-limb hand offers the use of five individually powered digits, which bend and move in addition to open and close. Grip options support almost all daily activities and the thumb can be rotated into different positions just as a biological thumb can. The i-limb relies on advanced control software, which provides speed and grip-strength control to the device while patients generate signals to control it in a way that mimics how traditional myoelectric devices have operated in the past.
The DynamicArm®
An advanced myoelectric prosthesis for transhumeral amputees, it provides a greater range of motion, closely mimics natural arm movements, and allows for quick, exact positioning of the hand, even with heavy objects. Its microprocessor communication system results in a faster transfer of information that commands the arm to move.

Lower Limb

Unity® Vacuum System
Össur’s Unity® Vacuum System offers the security and freedom of vacuum suspension but without the sensation and restrictions of a sleeve. It effectively addresses volume fluctuations and is totally compatible with Flex-Foot® technology. The Seal-In® liner technology is designed to conform to the residual limb, helping to distribute pressure evenly at the distal end, where volume fluctuations typically occur. The Unity is for above- and below-knee amputees, low active or high active, mechanical or microprocessor knee users.
Harmony® System
The Harmony® System by Ottobock creates an elevated vacuum between the patient’s liner and socket wall, promoting natural fluid exchange and a secure fit.
Össur’s RHEO KNEE® is a microprocessor swing and stance knee system utilizing the power of artificial intelligence. Capable of independent thought, it learns how the user walks, recognizing and responding immediately to changes in speed, load and terrain.
The Ottobock C-Leg® and Compact™ microprocessor-controlled knees are designed to deliver stability and reliability, even walking down stairs step-over-step, and an easier time walking up and down inclines. The on-board computer built into the knee senses and calculates the needs of the user more than 50 times a second.
The Genium®
Using multiple sensors and controllers, the Genium microprocessor-controlled knee can read movement at 100 times a second. It closely mimics a natural gait, reducing the mental effort required of users when changing speed, walking up or down stairs, avoiding obstacles, and walking backwards.
The POWER KNEE™ from Össur replaces true muscle activity to bend and straighten the knee as required. Delivering powered extension when standing up, controlled resistance when descending, and active flexion and extension during walking, the POWER KNEE facilitates symmetrical weight distribution and natural gait.
Össur Vari-Flex® Foot
The Vari-Flex provides an exclusive combination of comfort and dynamics. Equipped with active tibial progression, a CARBON-X® active heel, and proportional response, it ensures the highest levels of confidence and security. Offering natural gait with less fatigue and ultimately less strain on the lower back and sound side, it is the ideal foot for any activity. Features also include a split toe and waterproof. The Vari-Flex is lightweight, easy to assemble and has a slender profile which makes it easy to cosmetically cover.
Proprio Foot™
Össur’s Proprio Foot™ provides artificial proprioception – the sense of where the limb is in space. Patented artificial intelligence (AI) sorts out the information from the foot’s sensor technology and activates the most appropriate response for the next step.
Össur Pro-Flex is a prosthetic foot that uses complementing levers connected through pivots to create mechanically-powered push off. Combining 27 degrees of ankle motion and significantly greater ankle power than conventional carbon fiber feet, it closely mimics regular biomechanics, delivering a proven 11% reduction in load on the contralateral limb.


Össur’s Total Knee® Junior
Made of lightweight, extremely durable aluminum, and weighs only 0.745 lb. The inventor was Finn Gramnas, who was inspired by his six-year-old daughter struggling to walk without falling while wearing a heavy and clumsy prosthesis. He invented the geometric locking system that offers extra security and stability, even on hills, which is achieved through the knee’s seven-axis polyaxial design. Only two-thirds the size of the award-winning adult Total Knee®, it has all the important features, plus color. Designed for children weighing up to 100 lbs.
Ottobock’s 3R38
The 3R38 is the smallest single axis children’s modular knee joint. It has an adjustable extension assist to provide additional security. Designed for children weighing up to 99 lbs.
Össur’s Flex-Foot® Junior

Provides energy return for youngsters weighing 33-100 lbs. The CarbonX Active Heel® stores energy and absorbs shock loads, and the carbon fiber layering technique of the toe is specifically designed to offer the support and flexibility needed for the varied movements of children. The foot shell features a sandal toe shape.

The College Park TruPer® Foot
A multi-axial, dynamic-response foot made specifically for pediatric patients. It can be fitted to children as young as 3 years old. The TruPer also incorporates a foot shell with a split toe so children can wear shoes and sandals of their choice.
The Seattle Systems Child’s Play® Foot
This foot has a dynamic response Delrin keel, which offers shock absorption and a smooth rollover for a natural gait. Its sculpted cosmesis varies by size to reflect the natural appearance of a child’s maturing foot. The Child’s PlayFoot is appropriate for all lower limb pediatric amputees, including Symes. It is available in sizes for body weights up to 144 lbs., and in darker skin tones.
